Directory Services

Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) is an enterprise-class directory service that is the central point for isolating, migrating, centrally managing and reducing the number of directories found in a network. Using it can simplify management, strengthen security and increase interoperability.

A directory is a comprehensive listing of objects such as a phone book that stores information about people and businesses. Phone books typically record names, addresses, and phone numbers. AD DS is highly configurable and extensible and can store any information about any object in your organisation such as sites, computers, users, shares, printers, email addresses, employee numbers, photographs and just about any other piece of information that would be useful to people or application. It also acts as the central authority for network security, letting your operating system verify a user's identity and control access to work resources

SaintGroup aims to be a leading Microsoft Active Directory Services consulting company. We hold Microsoft Partner accreditation and our team of consultants have many years of experience in deploying Microsoft Active Directory Services solutions. Active Directory is critical to the network and the many applications relying on it. As the networking environment evolves, organisations that have implemented Microsoft Windows Active Directory need to ensure that Active Directory is configured and operating properly.

Health Check

SaintGroup offers a Health Check service to determine where problems may exist that could negatively impact the performance or capabilities of the environment. The health check examines the current Microsoft directory service environment, detects any deficiencies or problems and provides appropriate recommendations. The health check will assess currently installed service packs, patches and hot fixes to determine if there are any deficiencies; assess the Replication Status and whether the Active Directory objects are replicating correctly, identifying any issues; will check the DNS status – examining aspects of the DNS environment (DDNS registrations, zone transfers, etc.) to determine if there are any issues relating to DNS, and will provide a Site Topology.
