Call Usage

Call Usage is normally sold as part of SaintGroup’s calls and lines package, this details the pence per minute rates for calls made to all destinations. By default when a company orders a Voice Line (PSTN, ISDN2 or 30) they will be charged standard BT Retail rates unless they have their calls routed over a different provider. This is done at the exchange level and is known as Carrier Pre Select (CPS) or at the PBX level as Least Cost Routing (LCR). CPS is the standard way that this is now applied. Comparing tariffs at face value can often mask the true cost of a company’s call usage. Providers can sometimes hide the true cost within a call package. For instance, some providers charge a call set up fee for every call, or charge per minute or part of, whilst trying to lure customers with promises of ‘capped rates’ or ‘inclusive minutes.

SaintGroup‘s call usage service is gimmick free. We charge per second and without any call set up fee. Most business calls are incredibly short and per minute charging and call set-ups can really mount up. SaintGroup will take your bill and run a very simple audit; we multiply the number of minutes you have dialled key destinations and then multiply by the pence per minute rate. We simply compare these costs against your current costs. SaintGroup also has a portal which provides you online billing, call usage reports, inventory management and fraud alerts.

SaintGroup’s online billing portal gives you access to a monthly bill incorporating standard reports showing the most called numbers, highest single call, cost centre reporting etc as well as providing the raw data to manipulate for further analysis. Fraud alerts can be created by the customer such as any international dialled number or any call over a certain amount. As we provide daily calls stats, any fraud can be investigated quickly before costs spiral out of control. SaintGroup also has access to some industry leading call rates which many of our customer’s enjoy. We can provide direct voice minutes (where the lines and calls provider is the same) and indirect voice minute (where the traffic is routed over another provider’s network).
