We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Engineer/Cover Engineer working at our customer sites at Castle Bromwich and Halewood as a cover engineer (Cover for Holidays and Sickness), when not covering the various sites the engineer is utilised as a Field engineer.

Castle Bromwich cover – You will cover the 2 x  VCAT engineers and Team Leader when they are absent from work, this will involve shift work. SaintGroup are responsible for maintaining/repairing VCATs (Vehicle configuration and Testing) equipment, you will be working in a production environment to tight deadlines. We maintain test equipment and cables, any wiring or soldering experience would be an advantage. On site training will be provided.
 
Halewood cover – You will cover 1 x engineer when he is absent from work, we are responsible for printers, PC’s and some server administration. On site training will be provided.

Field engineer – When not covering the 2 sites you will be utilised as a field engineer, this involves visiting various customers premises to carry out repair of various desktop equipment, ranging from PC’s, printers and laptops.

The successful candidate will a have good inter-personal and customer care skills, with the ability to listen to and understand the customers’ needs. You must have the ability to use own initiative and address and resolve problems as and when they arise and to work under pressure in a stressful and demanding environment and to produce quality work within the agreed timescales. Flexibility is key to the role.

The successful candidate will be working on a wide range of equipment ranging from Bespoke test equipment at the Castle Brom site to various desktop equipment when working in the field and at Halewood.

It is expected that the successful candidate will obtain GCSE Maths and English. Any vendor qualifications such as Dell or HP would be advantageous. Full on site comprehensive training will be given to the right candidate.

A car allowance will be included in the salary package for the successful candidate.
